02Principle
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and its ordinance (DPO). We only collect data we need for the relevant purpose and keep it only as long as necessary. Where the European GDPR applies to individuals resident in the EU, we comply with its requirements as well.
03What data we process
a) Server log files
When you visit the site, your browser transmits technical information which our hosting provider logs briefly: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type and operating system. This data serves only secure operation and troubleshooting. We do not combine it with other data or analyse it on an individual basis.
b) Enquiries via the Academy form
When you request training via the form, we process the details you enter: training type, first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), preferred time and your message. We also store the language you selected so that we can reply in that language.
c) Contact by email or phone
If you write or call us directly, we process the information provided in order to handle your request.
No cookies, no tracking. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising services such as Google Analytics, Tag Manager or the Facebook pixel. No profiling takes place.
04Purposes
- Answering your enquiry and arranging training sessions and appointments
- Performance and administration of contracts
- Secure and reliable operation of the website
- Compliance with legal obligations, in particular retention duties
We process this data on the basis of your enquiry or the contractual relationship, and on our overriding interest in operating the website. We do not sell data and do not pass it to third parties for their advertising purposes.
05Retention
- Server log files: usually a few days
- Enquiries without a contract: up to 12 months, then deleted
- Data from contractual relationships: 10 years under the retention requirements of the Swiss Code of Obligations
06Service providers and transfers abroad
We use carefully selected service providers who process personal data on our behalf. They are contractually obliged to use the data solely for us.
| Service | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify | Website hosting and receipt of form enquiries | USA |
| Resend | Sending the automatic confirmation email | USA |
| Google Fonts | Web fonts. Your IP address is transmitted to Google when they load. | USA |
| Google Maps | Embedded map on the contact page. Your IP address is transmitted to Google when that page opens. | USA |
For transfers to the USA we rely on the provider’s certification under the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or, where that is absent, on the standard contractual clauses under Art. 16 para. 2 FADP.
Court bookings via Playtomic
Bookings are handled by Playtomic. When you follow a booking link you leave our website. Playtomic is independently responsible for processing there; its privacy policy applies. The same is true of our Racket City app and of links to Instagram and Facebook — we embed no social media plugins, these are plain links.
07Your rights
Within the scope of applicable law you have in particular the following rights:
- Access to whether and what data we process about you (Art. 25 FADP)
- Rectification of inaccurate data and erasure
- Handover or transfer of your data in a common format (Art. 28 FADP)
- Objection to processing and withdrawal of any consent given
A short message to info@racket-city.ch is enough. For security we may request proof of identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
08Data security
The website is delivered exclusively over encrypted HTTPS. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. Complete security cannot be guaranteed for transmission over the internet.
09Changes
We may amend this privacy policy at any time. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
