Scroll with us through the story of Racket City — from decades of tennis tradition and an empty plot to a community that grows every day.

For decades, Sporting Areal in Derendingen has been a home for tennis in the region. Friendships were made here, club championships decided and New Year's Eves spent on court.
The Silvestercup celebrates its 50th edition in 2026 — half a century of tradition that everything is built on.

Our founder Fabio Santarossa grew up with tennis — training, tournaments, competition. When an injury ended his career, the love of the game remained.
And a question: what would a place look like where tennis, padel and pickleball come together — where you don't just play, you stay?

In October 2024, Santarossa Property Holding AG takes over the site. A new name, the same passion — and next to it, an empty plot full of potential.
The new padel hall takes shape on paper: a glass front, Super Panoramic courts, space to linger.
Without much building experience, but with a clear picture of how the hall should feel. It was made possible by the craftspeople, planners, suppliers and partners who stayed the course — even when not everything went to plan.

Families, club members, neighbours, partners — and many people trying padel for the first time. The first balls hit the glass of the Super Panoramic courts.
Since then we've added air conditioning, blackout curtains, new terraces and the bar. Because a good place is never finished.
«Racket City belongs to everyone who comes here to play, laugh and get together.»Fabio Santarossa, founder

Beginners next to tournament players, children next to seniors, company teams next to groups of friends. Our team makes sure everyone feels welcome — on the court, at the bar and on the terrace.
